Antigua to France
November 1, 1851
This stampless folder letter was sent from Antigua,
a small
island in the Leeward Islands in the eastern Caribbean.
In 1851 Antigua's principal industry was sugar.
Today its principal industry is tourism.
The destination was Paris where it arrived on
November 23.
There is an illegible red London transit mark.
It is not clear wehther the address was on this
side
of the letter or whether the address is just faded.
