Today in Postal History
Japan to Ireland
October 12, 1937
A Japanese surcharged postal card with a 1937 Mt.
Fuji 3s green uprate (Scott (171)
Unfortunately, I cannot add anything concerning the postal card.
Especially interesting is the routing: Ireland
Via Siberia.
This is likely to have been carried by the Trans-Siberian railway.
Notice the Japanese characters added to aid the
postal workers.
Can anyone identify the city where this went into the mails?
