This postal card was mailed from Hilo on the northeast side of the island of Hawaii.
The indicium is cancelled by a purple Hilo duplex with a
target
killer and a single ring dial.
There is also a double rimmed purple Hilo CDS on the reverse.
The destination was Honolulu on the island of Oahu 182 miles
away
where it arrived on October 4.
Arrival was noted by a duplex handstamp in red on the reverse.
The postal card is Scott UX4 1¢ lithographed by the
American
Bank Note Co. in red on buff.
The note requests "2 pr good eyeglasses Nos. 18 - 19."
It also requests "2 pieces for fastening (?)."
