This airmail cover was posted in Blantyre, Nyasaland, and
postmarked with two CDS.
Blantyre is at the south end of what is now called Malawi below Lake
Malawi.
It is about 100 km inland from the Mozambique Channel in the Indian
Ocean.
Blantyre was founded in 1876 by Scottish missionaries,
and is named after the birthplace of David Livingstone.
The addressee was in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
It is franked with 3 copies of the 1945 King George VI 6d.
