British Central Africa to Netherlands
April 13, 1905

This picture postcard was sent from Blantyre below Lake Nyasa
(now Lake Malawi) about 400 km inland from the
Mozambique Channel on the Indian Ocean coast of Africa.
Its destination was Bussum about 20 km east southeast of Amsterdam.

The route the cover took is reminiscent of the recent cover from Quelimane, Zambesia.
This card, after receiving two squared circle cancels in Blantyre, transitted
the port of Chinde on the coast at the mouth of the Zambezi on April 18.

The card then proceeded to Zanzibar where it arrived on May 3.
Fifteen days seems about standard for the Chinde to Zanzibar tansit at this time.

It finally was received at its destination on May 29.

 There is also an illegible boxed handstamp on the front.
Any thoughts as to what this might be, anyone?
