This folded letter was sent from Veracruz.
Veracruz is on the Gulf of Mexico about 325 km east of Mexico City.
The cover bears a nice strike of a Veracruz oval CDS on the back.
The routing requested for the letter was Por Texas.
This was the ship which carried the letter to
New Orleans where it entered the United States mails.
The letter arrived in New Orleans on February 15 where it received a
transit
stamp
and a nice black circular STEAMSHIP 10 due marking.
The final destination was New York City;
however, we have no indication of when it arrived there.
