Germany Intenal Usage

This is a nice registered event cover posted at Garmisch-Partenkirchen,
site of the 1936 Olympic Winter Games.
The event was the opening day of the Winter Olympics.

The cover is franked with a complete set of the semi-postal stamps
issued in 1935 for the Winter Games (Scott B79-81).
Eight similar stamps and two souvenir sheets were issued
for the Summer Games held in Germany that year.

There are two of the neat pictorial cancels which Germany has used for such events.

The destination was Berlin.
