This is a relatively common cover
postmarked
in Orleans.
This is what French mail looked like in the 1860s.
The stamp is most likely the 20c blue on bluish paper from 1862 (Scott
26).
The cancel is a lozenge with 2740 in the center.
The cover has a handstamped sender's address.
The Lugas Brothers of Orleans were confectioners!
Always nice to know someone in the sweets business!
The letter was destined for Terrasson in Dordogne.
Terrasson
is about 65 km south of Limoges and 80 km east northeast of Bordeaux.
