This cover was sent from Papeete to New York, N.Y.

The attractive French colonial stamps were cancelled with a duplex cancel
which had a slogan killer on the left of the date dial.
The slogan was:

VISITEZ TAHITI PERLE du PACIFIQUE

That translates simply as VISIT TAHITI PEARL of the PACIFIC.

There are no arrival marks from New York or other transit marks.

The cover is franked with stamps from the 1913-1930 issue of French Polynesia .
There is a 1922 5c blue and black Tahitian girl (Scott 25)
wrapped around the right side of the cover.
There are also a 1926 3c black and red orange and two
1926 60c green and black Kanakas (Scott 37 and 45).
In addition, there is a 20c deep violet from the common designs
for the 1937 Paris International Exposition (Scott 117).

The sender was the Papeete office of the Banque de l'Indochine.
The bank must have provided branches over much of the French Pacific.
