This registered cover is suspiciously
philatelic but nevertheless interesting.
The stamps on the front are the 9 low values of the 1910 King Manuel II
regular issue (Scott 112-120).
The back bears the 1910 2½ reis violet with the green diagonal
overprint REPUBLICA (Scott 126).
It took 6 HORTA CDS to cancel this array of stamps.
The cover received an octagonal Lisbon receiving mark.
The date is not decipherable.
It arrived at its destination in Stuttgart where it received a January
31 postmark.
Note that not only the address was preprinted but that the word
Registered was preprinted as well.
